We are the IAM Local Lodge 1542 of the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers (also known as The Machinists Union; IAM; or IAMAW). As a union of working machinists, we work to protest and advance the economic, social, and political interest of working families. Local Lodge 1542 represents employees of Arnprior Aerospace Inc and Hypernetics (a division of Plaintree Systems). We are proud of the work we do on the job and in the community!
Union Executive Committee
The Union Executive Committee is responsible for the day-to-day financial decisions of the Union, overseeing campaigns, mobilizing members, defending members and preserving the rights of the Union and it’s members in the workplace. Union Executive Committee members are elected every three years.

Joint Health and Safety Committee (AAI)
The Joint Health and Safety Committee assists in ensuring a safe workplace for all employees. The Committee is an advisory body that helps to stimulate and raise awareness of health and safety concerns in the workplace, recognizes and identifies workplaces risks and develops recommendations for the employer to address these risks.
